The cards labeled "Animated" or "Postcard" may have MIDI music included with
them. If the card indicates there is music and you cannot hear it please
try the following:
* Is the sound working on your computer at all? Do you hear other sounds that your computer makes? If not, you may need to check your speakers or volume control.
* If you can hear other sounds from your computer, please check your computer audio preferences and make sure that you do not have MIDI music specifically turned off or down. On many PCs there is a separate option to turn MIDI music on or off.
* If you can hear other sounds from your computer, but not the music from
a particular card, you may need to install a "Plugin" to handle MIDI music.
This is very common and easy to do.
For Windows (Internet Explorer or Netscape) or Mac Users
We suggest first trying the "Beatnik" Player MIDI Plugin. It is FREE,
has broad browser and OS compatibility and is relatively small compared
to other MIDI plugins.
You can download it here.
If this does not work for you, then you should look into one of the options
below.
For Netscape or Mozilla:
Another option is to download the Apple Quicktime package which includes a MIDI
player. You can find this plugin by clicking here. You do not need to enter your email address on
that page to download the plugin and it is free.
After installing the plugin, you may need to reload the greeting cards
web page, or in some instances, shutdown and restart your computer.
* If your browser version is older than one of these, we suggest upgrading now.
For Internet Explorer or AOL Users:
You should download Windows Media Player from Microsoft.
